After existing in a place of despair, sadness, shame, and fear for too long we begin to feel stuck and out of control… like parts of ourself have shriveled up and fallen away. We see others laughing, enjoying their children, taking adventures, and our self critical dialogue starts… “I wish I was able to…” “Why can’t I be…” “If only…” The more we buy into that voice, the worse we feel. If you want your situation to change, you need to be willing to change your perspective. Often we are resistant to shifting our perspective because we have claimed an identity of “victim.” We can shift out of that vibration by taking the first step… and that has to do with finding gratitude in the present. It doesn’t have to be a huge gratitude… anything will do… “I’m grateful to have running water,” or “I’m grateful for food to eat,” or even, “I’m grateful I get to experience this beautiful sunrise.” Tiny shifts over time can move mountains. What are you grateful for today, sisters? Please share… šš½
